AMARAVATI: Chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said he’s channelizing the anger of the people of Andhra Pradesh into positive action by rebuilding the state, unlike Congress which inflicted cultural injury on the state and would have provoked people to do a Punjab, Kashmir and Assam.

1 state. He said Congress tried to politically kill him and his party by joining hands with Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) and also indulged in backdoor politics with Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Hitting out at Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Naidu said, “The state was bifurcated on June 2, which was the Republic day of Italy”. “Even sadism has a limit. People will not pardon Congress,” said Naidu. To a query on his main political rival, Naidu said he has none. Congress destroyed the state and left very little for him to manoeuvre. Asked about Jagan’s prospects, Naidu said is YSRCP a political party at all? Does he have a vote-bank? “I am doing positive politics and concentrating on development”. Asked if he still had the support of Kapus, Naidu said he had allocated Rs 1,000 crore for Kapus and is undertaking several measures for their welfare.
They even voted for him in the last elections when Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) headed by Chiranjeevi was in the fray. He said his government would implement recommendations of Manjunatha Commission and send the proposal to the Union government once the report is out. Asked if TDP would go it alone in the 2019 elections, Naidu said his party was working for the welfare of the state and the nation and Narendra Modi is the best leader for the country. “I believe the country needs a strong leader and there’s nobody other than Narendra Modi. The Centre needs to handhold to sort problems post-bifurcation,” he said.
